How they Started

El-J Construction was started out of necessity. Partners Richard Elliott and Chris Jenkin had previously worked together for a grocery store chain that had recntly went out of business. With neither one of them being able to successfully locate new employment, they decided to go into business for themselves.

Mr Jenkin possessed some prior electrical knowledge, as well as rough framing and blueprint training which he had received while in school. Mr Elliott also had some prior floorplan experience from classes he had taken. Along with that he also possessed over 6 years of on the job experience in almost every facet of home remodeling.

So with the experience and knowledge they both possessed along with their enjoyment of construction they founded El-J Construction in 2004.
